When it comes to celebrities with extraordinary hair stories, Steve Harvey is one of those big names that can top the list.
If you are not familiar with him, Steve Harvey is a well-known American television host, actor, writer, producer, and comedian.
He began his career as a comedian in the early 1980s by hosting “Showtime at the Apollo” and “The Steve Harvey Show.”
Harvey is the host of “Family Feud” and “Celebrity Family Feud,” holding this role since 2010.
In addition, Harvey founded “Steve Harvey Global” back in 2017, an entertainment company that houses his production company “East 112” and various other ventures.
Speaking of his professional achievements, Steve is a six-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, two-time Marconi Award winner, and a 14-time NAACP Image Award winner in various categories.
Steve Harvey’s Hairstyle Transition Journey
Steve has been bald for a long time, but he used to flaunt various hairstyles before.
And many of his followers wonder if he has tried to wear hair wigs to achieve such hairstyles during his peak times to keep his career alive.
In the 1980s, when he was around 30 years old, he had a high-top fade haircut with a well-defined hairline. This hairstyle was much more prevalent back then than now.
It was Steve Harvey’s trademark hairstyle, resembling a rug covering his scalp.
He also had an iconic horseshoe mustache used as a centerpiece for many jokes and comparisons among men.
After that, he tried different hairstyles, including buzz, surfer curl, and afro, to change up his looks.
As he got older, he started to have severe hair loss problems that led to a bald patch on his head.
That was when he supposedly first used hair-building fibers to hide the bald patch and look the way he used to.
Later, he shifted to hair weaves for a better blending and a more natural appearance.
Steve Harvey’s Bald Head
Later in 2007, when he was turning 50, Steve hinted that he would have a new look.
Shortly in January of 2008, Steve appeared with his completely bald look in JET magazine.
That is when people started to ask if he was going bald and whether he had had fake hair before.
Despite that, his new bald appearance did not take a toll on his career as many would have assumed. His popularity even rose considerably for the way he looked without any hair.
Most people saw him as a celebrity shaving his head, as they thought Steve just shaved off his hair instead of removing his wig.
To be honest, Actions such as such for celebrities of Steve’s fame are meant to lead to a surge in followers and publicity.
Many of those who had not watched his show became interested in knowing what his shows are like.
As a matter of fact, Steve did shave off his head which was covered with not much hair, but also took off his wig to appear completely bald.
And he has been shaving regularly to maintain his bald look up to today.
Steve doesn’t concern himself with rumors related to his supposed toupee use.
He had a beard and mustache for years, but he recently shaved it off.
In the media, Steve is often portrayed with his trademark head shape and mane of black hair.
But he was determined to change his iconic image to something new by shaving off his beard.
Steve’s Perspective on Men’s Hair Loss
In a 2019 episode of his talk show, “Steve,” he addressed the subject bravely and calmly. With that trademark humor, he shared his insights and opinions on why men need to make their peace with hair loss when the time comes.
Going bald is not something you should try to fight because it’s a fight that you can’t win. So you’ve got to know when to start accepting the fact that it’s going away. I noticed some stuff was happening to my hair, so I said instead of fighting it, I’m going to just come on and get with it. A lot of you don’t know when it’s time to come on and get with it.
As a matter of fact, most of his fans do not seem to mind his bald head at all, as that is somewhat irrelevant to them.
What they expect from him is mostly his unique cinematographic and television works that are more than worthwhile to watch.
Because as a highly gifted TV host, he has a knack for what he does in front of the camera.
It would be a loss for the American television industry if Steve were not doing what he has done over the past decades.
That said, not having enough hair would far not become a reason for him to terminate any of his occupations anyways.
On the other hand, Steve should not be judged and criticized no matter what he does with his hair.
Whether to wear a wig or shave off his head is his personal decision and freedom, regardless of how famous and privileged he is.

Good info however still difficult to believe SH has THAT slick, smooth head from only shaving. Perhaps he also uses some hair remover lotion like Nair? (is that even still around? ha!).
