Hi, I’m Eva from Newtimes Hair and I’ve been learning all about the different knotting methods so I understand that it can be confusing, especially if you are first time wear of hair systems. Here I am going to share what I have learned.
Knots and their effect
- Single Knots: lie flat on the base and are suitable for skin base material but not for lace base material because they may loosen easily.
2 Double knots: lie flat on the base and are suitable for both lace and mono base materials. They are generally used on at the front and on the sides.
- Split reverse knots: are small and used at the hairline of all bases. They are usually used with hair densities up to 100 because higher densities may cause the knots to loosen. They are also not used if the synthetic hair percentage is higher than 50% percent in order to avoid breakage.
- V-loops: are used on skin base materials and are great because they are knotless as the hair is inserted at one point and pulled through a point nearby, creating a V shape. Check out our RD-V and BIO models to see the effects.
- Double split reverse knots: are though and can be used on all lace and mono base materials except Swiss Lace and they are strong.
- Injection: leaves the hair lying flat. Just bear in mind that you cannot style your hair freely.
- Lift Injection: means the hair is lifted hair and can teased at random.
- Silk top & injected lace: is divided into Single silk top & inject lace and double silk top & injected lace.
Single silk top & injected lace combination: is more sophisticated than double silk top & injected lace. This labor-intensive process is normally used for Jewish wigs, the hair lies perfectly and can be styled freely.
Double silk top & injected lace combination: is generally is used at the top and only part of the base. The hair lies well and can be styles freely.
These are many of the knots that we use at Newtimes Hair. Next, I will share more of them on different base type.
If you have any questions about these knots, please feel free to email: sales6@newtimeshair.com
Knots on different base
Hey guys, here I’ll continue to explain about the different knot types and the bases they are applied to.
First I need to show you what base material we have, such as French Lace, French Lace with PU, Mono, Mono with PU, Full skin (different thickness), Silicon, PE Line, PN Line, and so on. If you like styles of them ,please search on our website https://staging.newtimeshair.com/hairreplacementsystems/mens-toupee/
From these base type, Lace base and skin are popular ones. French Lace is all bleached knots, undetectable, breathable, comfortable and good looking. Another style is a Ultra skin toupee, because its thickness is 0.03mm, so it is very thin and using time is short. It also is looking natural, because all V-looping on it, no knots.
These are some ventilation on different type:
1) Full French lace: 1/2’’ Split reverse knots at the front, and the rest of the base has double split reverse knot.
2) French lace with skin on sides and back: 1/2’’ Split reverse knots at the front, and the rest of the base has split reverse knots.
3) French lace with skin perimeter: Double split reverse knots on the lace and split reverse knots on the skin base.
4) Full Swiss lace: Split reverse knots.
5) Swiss lace with skin on sides and back, Swiss lace with skin on perimeter. Split reverse knots on lace, single split reverse knots on skin perimeter.
6) Full fine welded mono/super fine welded mono: 1/2’’ Split reverse knots at front, and the rest of the base with double split reverse knot.
7) Fine welded mono/super fine welded mono with skin on sides and back: 1/2’’ split reverse knot at the front and sides with single split reverse knots at the back.
8) Fine welded mono/super fine welded mono with skin perimter; Double split reverse knots on mono and single split reverse knots on skin.
9) Fine mono with skin on perimeter: Split reverse knot on mono, and single split reverse knot on skin.
10) Super Fine Mono with skin on perimeter: Split reserve knots all over.
11) Skin Gauze: Injected hair all over with under hair on hairline.
12) Silicon: Injected hair all over with under hair on hairline.
13) Clear PU: Injection, V loops, split reverse knots or single knots
14) Others:
PE lines:double knots
PN lines: double split reserve knots
Fish net: double split reserve knots
German Net: double split reserve knots.
Oh, the last one I want to share with you is the density on different base material. Had you ever order a ultra thin skin, but want to do a very heavy density? I thought no one had ever has such a product, because so thin toupee could not afford so heavy density. These are some examples as reference to you.
